A few things to know.
Does the photo really stay in Apple Wallet?
Yes. Wallet Photo makes a photo pass you add to Apple Wallet. Open Wallet to see it alongside your cards and tickets. You don’t need to open Wallet Photo or your photo library to look at it.
Will it appear whenever I pay?
Your photo lives in the Wallet app. What you see when you double-click to pay depends on Wallet and how you open it, so a photo isn’t guaranteed to appear at every checkout.
How do the little nudges work?
Add up to five dates that repeat yearly, or up to ten places, to a photo in the app. Wallet can use these to suggest the pass on your Lock Screen when it considers it relevant. Timing depends on Wallet, the relevance information and your settings; these aren’t scheduled notifications.
Is it really free?
Yes. Wallet Photo is free, with no account to create.
Will it work on my iPhone?
Wallet Photo supports iOS 18 and later. The large photo layout shown here needs iOS 27. On earlier versions, your photo appears in a wide band across the card.
What happens to my photos?
Your collection is saved on your iPhone. To make a Wallet pass, the app sends your selected photo and its details to our signing server. Our application processes them in memory and doesn’t save them there. The hosting provider may retain technical request logs. Read the privacy policy.
Can I give a photo to someone?
Yes. Open the pass in Wallet and use its share button. The photo and all its details, including your note, dates and places, go with it. A little birthday message or a photo of the two of you makes a nice one.
